Brooch,
a beautiful piece of jewellery was considered as an outdated and unnecessary
accessory. The common notion was that it was meant for old women, probably
because brooches were common accessory in the 18th century till the
Victorian Era.

January 2012. The one likes Desperate Housewives’ star Marcia Cross, Kate Beckinsale, Van Helsing’s gorgeous actress and Ugly
Betty’s lead America Ferrera were all spotted wearing striking brooches. While
Ferrera decided to wear a brooch on the shoulder, Kate was seen wearing a
bow-shaped brooch on her waist.
And reaffirming this trend were the lovely ladies walking
on the red carpet of Academy Awards, better known as the Oscars. Lovely
brooches were adorning the waist of Michelle Williams, Olivia Wilde and Missi
Pyle in the Academy Award.

and vintage shops. And why versatile? Because you can wear them in various
styles. Besides pinning it down to your coat or dress, you can tie your hair in
